- Discussion of Obvio Token (Obvio owners account) (5:30)
- There is a difference between a free Obvio account, set up at app.obv.io and an owner's account, which is the link sent from Obvio upon signing up for your owners account.
- (13:00) - Blue refers back to this conversation.
- If you create a free account, rather than an account with your ObvioToken, email help@obv.io - we can transfer your credentials to your owner's account.
Blue provides Obvio updates at 11:30
- Forms: this feature gives you the ability to ask questions, build surveys, quizzes, etc. (16:50)
- Forms can be placed in the check in waiver and blog posts. (18:00)
- Modal - pop-up window, in which the question will appear in a small window over the dashboard. (modal demo - 20:20)
- Sponsors: Behaves similarly to speakers. However, you can add buttons under each sponsor bio - this is meant to behave like a sponsor booth at a live event. Can add icons and place a form within the icon. (22:00)
- Visibility Rules: available in ribbons, main nav (for buttons only), resources, buttons in the sidebar, and blog posts. This allows the editor to build rules that ensure only certain attendees see certain buttons, ribbons, posts, etc. (15:00)
- Attendee "forgot my password" email will now come from the event name you input. (27:00)
- Ability to hide drop shadow and the header are currently enabled. (28:15)
Q+A begins 31:00
- Each tech check agent you plan to use, should have their own room, within the Tech Check area. (31:15)
- Assigned them a role, by inviting them as a team member and assigning them a role. (33:00)
- If someone is only allowed to "Start Rooms" - be sure to assign someone with Admin access to open the area where those rooms live.
- Adding attendee labels - these will behave similarly to visibility rules. (35:40)
- Can resize buttons, in order to fit multiple buttons on one row. (45:00)
- Max button size is 12. If you resize to 6, two buttons will fit on one row.
- Virtual green rooms (48:45)
- Demoed by Blue at 51:00 minutes in.
- Create an area with one room underneath.
- Turn off the "requires approval" security.
- Open the room and grab the share link from the Zoom room.
- Best practice for speakers (55:45)
- House speakers in their own green room.
- Check them in yourself via Obvio by accessing their attendee login link - create a password for them, sign the waiver for them, and skip tech check, by clicking the blue "Checked-In" button next to their name under attendees.
- This way, you can provide them with their password and allow them to go directly to the dashboard, click the button they need to access, and they will be in the correct room.
- Grant discusses the use of breakout rooms and waiting rooms. Waiting rooms and breakiuts are set up in Zoom, once a room is created and launched via Obvio. (59:00)
- Zoom breakout sessions (1:00:10)
- Important Note: Breakout rooms are not included in recordings provided by Obvio. Breakout rooms are not recorded.
- Assign automatically
- Give specs and participants are assigned by Zoom.
- Assign manually
- The host can move individual participants into breakout rooms.
- Let participants choose
- Zoom breakouts: set up within Zoom (1:06:00)
- Concurrent sessions: create one area per button that you'd like to display on the dashboard. (1:06:30)
- Zoom room names are prepended to an attendee's name, when they enter the Zoom room. (1:10:00)
- Best practice: Room names should be short and simple, because they will be added to the front of eneryone's name in Zoom. (example: 1- Jane Doe)
- Button text can be whatever you'd like - the text on the buttons should make sense to attendees, but as long as they are linked to the correct areas, they will take attendees where they need to go.
- Buttons links to areas, not rooms.
- Can place a button on a "New Line" regardless of size, by clicking the check box in the main nav modal. (1:16:00)
- How to educate attendees on how to use the dashboard. (1:17:00)
- Best practice: understand your audience as you build your dashboard. Try to keep things simple and straightforward (i.e. limit number of buttons, clean lines, clear button text to navigate attendees) if your audience may not be tech savvy.
- Use tech check as an opportunity to give specific tech instructions or give a small dashboard walk through.
- How to get back to your organizations. (1:29:30)
- Kartra Zapier integration walk through (1:42:20-1:56:00)
- Opening rooms versus opening areas (1:58:00)
- Areas are connected to buttons. So if the area and rooms are open and online, attendees will be able to enter Zoom meetings.
- Rooms can be opened without the area being open to allow event staff to event and set up first. Then, when you are ready to admit attendees, the area should be opened.
