Obvio Updates
- Billing and tracking
- Set to be enabled by August 15th - this will be a trial run. For 30 days, we will have the billing and tracking system active, but give current Obvio users dummy credit card numbers to make “purchases”. This will allow us to track any bugs or troubleshoot issues before the system is officially released.
- Areas
- A new button called "clear room assignments" is now available.
- This button allows editors to clear any room assignments for attendees.
- This will be useful if you open five rooms on day one of an event, but would like to drop down to three rooms on day two. Obvio has assigned rooms to attendees on day one, so in order to avoid attendees assigned to rooms four and five getting offline messages, you can now press "clear room assignments" and reset room assignments for that specific area.
- This is also helpful if you'd like attendees to be reassigned to different rooms each day.
- This action cannot be undone, there is a confirmation dialogue box, once confirmed, room assignments cannot be reinstated.
Clear Room Assignment (located in the upper right hand corner)
- Coming Soon: Reassign on Offline - if an attendee is assigned to a room that is currently offline, the attendee will be automatically reassigned to an open (online) room.
- Note: the "reassign on offline" toggle must be enabled in order to reassign the attendee to an online room. If the toggle is not enabled, they will receive an offline message (because they are assigned to an offline room).
- Coming Soon: Sidebar 2.0 - allows for the rearragement of all elements within the current sidebar (i.e. agenda, resources). Buttons are also able to be placed throughout the sidebar, rather than just in the bottom section.
- Coming Soon: The ability to skip the password creation step - works with the custom URL inside of Obvio. There is no attended tag that will be apply when all three check in steps are disabled.
- Coming Soon: Ability to click a button on the attendees page and click to grab waivers from all attendees (in a zip file)
- Note: The name of each wiaver is the attendee's first and last name.
- Coming Soon: At the form level, the ability to add in a character limit for short and long answer text field.
- In the future, the platform will be able to register attendees directly in Obvio. This will also allow users to send emails directly from Obvio, making it a more self contained system. (16:30)
- Coming Soon: Ability to clone a dashboard. (20:15)
- Using your main stage/room for multiple purposes. (23:00)
- Grant suggests using a separate space for production to meet and get ready, so attendees can remain in the main stage are listening to music or watching a pre-recorded video. Then, when it's time for the main event, use a switcher to feed in the host/speakers to the main stage. This way, attendees have ease of use and do not have to jump around to different meetings.
