Obvio Updates

Most of these updates apply to the "Areas" tab within Obvio and apply to Obvio users editing the dashboard and using the backend of Obvio.

  • Ability to see live stats from the areas tab. (1:00) (5:00)
    • These stats will give Obvio editors the ability to see love statistics noting how many attendees are in a given room at any one time. (visual at 2:00).
    • Total Attendees - per area
    • Num Attendees - per room
    • Provides a great bird's eye view of what is happening in each area and room throughout the duration of a live event.
    • Coming soon - full stats page
  • Room creation (3:45) (7:30)
    • Rooms will now default to be named numerically (i.e. 1, 2, 3, 4). This is for the sake of simplicity, as the room name will become the prepend to the attendee's name in Zoom.
      • (Example: 3 - Jane Doe, meaning Jane Doe is an attendee in room number 3).
    • Create rooms by clicking on the area you'd like them to be associated with and selecting the number of rooms you'd like to create under than one area. (4:00)
      • Create all your rooms in one go, rather than the Obvio user having to create each room individually.
      • If you only have 1 (one) room under an area, attendees will NOT have a prepend added to their name when they enter into the Zoom room. (17:58)
  • Room description - ability to add a description to each room (8:00)
    • This description is visible ONLY INTERNALLY, attendees are not able to see room descriptions.
    • This description is intended to replace room names that indicated what was happening in each room.
    • Rooms are now named numerically with the option to use the description field to specify what is happening in each room.
  • Rules - specify, based on tags, which attendees belong in which room (10:00)
    • Ability to add rules is optional. If you only have one room or you do not need attendees to be placed in specific rooms, you do not need to create rules (10:48)
    • If using rules, each attendee must have a specific tag in order for Obvio to know where to place each attendee.
    • Creating Rule Demo - 12:20
    • IMPORTANT: If an attendee does not match any of the rule created, they will receive an offline message when they attempt to access the area. (13:00)
  • Language changes within Obvio UI.
    • Rooms are now "open", rather than "online". (16:15)
    • Within button settings, it will now say "Join Area", when you choose to link your button to an area within Obvio.
