Adding Attendees to Your Event

There are several different ways to add attendees to your event in Obvio, depending on the size of your event and how you are managing registrations:

1. Manual Addition For small events or one-off additions, you can manually type attendees into the system. You simply go to the "Attendees" tab on the left-hand side of your event dashboard and click the blue "Add Attendee" button. The bare minimum information you need to create an attendee is their first name, last name, and email address.

2. CSV Import If you have a spreadsheet of registrants, you can import them in bulk using a CSV (comma-separated values) file. To do this, go to the Attendees tab, click "Attendee Tools," and select "Import". Your spreadsheet needs to include columns for the attendee's first name, last name, email address, and you can optionally include columns for phone numbers, tags, or custom groups.

3. Native CRM Integrations If you manage your registrations through a CRM, Obvio has native integrations with platforms like Keep, MailChimp, HubSpot, HighLevel, ActiveCampaign, ConvertKit, and Ontraport. Once connected, you typically designate an "import tag" (or list, depending on the platform) within your CRM. Whenever a contact in your CRM receives that specific tag, they are automatically imported into Obvio as an attendee. Obvio will then send the attendee's unique magic login link back to your CRM so you can email it to them.

4. Zapier Integration If you use a third-party application that doesn't have a native integration, Obvio offers a native Zapier app. This allows you to connect Obvio to over 1,400 other platforms, bringing attendees in automatically via "Zaps" triggered by actions like a ticket purchase or form submission.

5. Obvio Marketplace (For Paid Events) If you build a sales page and sell your tickets directly through Obvio's built-in Marketplace feature, purchasers are automatically added to your event as attendees the moment they buy a ticket.

6. Obvio Signup Page (For Free Events) If you are hosting a free event, like a webinar or a challenge, you can enable the Obvio "Sign Up" page. This gives you a public link (e.g., your-event.obv.io/sign_up) that you can share. When people visit the link, they just enter their first name, last name, and email address, and the system automatically creates them as an attendee and sends them straight to the event dashboard
