This article provides an overview of the Points system available within Obvio.
Obvio includes a built-in gamification system that rewards attendees with points for completing certain actions during an event. These actions help increase engagement and can be enabled or disabled at any time.
By default, the Points page is preloaded with a set of actions that attendees can complete to earn points.

Here are some examples of default actions:
- Creating a password
- Completing step 2 of check-in
- Visiting the dashboard
- Downloading a resource
- Visiting the leaderboard
- Visiting the speakers page
- Visiting the sponsors page
Create Actions – Allows you to create custom actions for attendees to earn points, such as visiting the Main Stage button, visiting the FAQ page button or etc. You can set this up by clicking the “Pick an action points” option.

You can activate or deactivate these actions at any time depending on how you want to structure your event’s gamification experience.
These point-based actions are designed to encourage attendee participation and improve overall engagement throughout your event.
I. Points Description
Once you click on any action on the Points page, a pop-up will appear where you can customize its settings.
Here, you can update the description and configure options such as:
- Randomize points – Lets you set a minimum and maximum value, and points will be randomly assigned within that range
- Limit per day – Limits how many times points can be earned per day.
- Limit per event – Limits total points earned for the event.
- Minimum interval (minutes) between earning points – Sets how often points can be earned for the same action.
These settings help prevent attendees from abusing the system by repeatedly refreshing pages to gain points.
These controls ensure fair and balanced participation.
II. Page Settings
At the top of the dashboard, you’ll find the Page Settings. This is where you can customize what appears on the Points tab, including the Title, Menu Title, Points Unit, Popup text, and styling options.
This is how it will appear on your attendees’ dashboard.
Page Settings:
- Title – The main heading displayed on the Points page.
- Menu Title – The name shown on the navigation menu.
- Points Unit – The label used for points (e.g., points, coins, rewards).
