Check In Password Overview

The Password step is part of the attendee Check In process in Obvio. This step allows attendees to create or set their password before accessing the event dashboard.

Organizers can enable or disable this step depending on their event requirements.

The Password page includes the following options:

Enabled / Disabled Toggle – Turn the Password step on or off for attendees.
Preview Toggle – Preview how the Password page will appear to attendees.
Skip Password Rules – Configure rules that allow certain attendees to bypass the Password step.

The Password page can also be customized to match your event experience. Organizers may modify the page design, text, colors, and overall appearance shown to attendees during this step.

Skip Password Rules

The Skip Password Rules feature allows you to automatically skip the Password step for attendees who match specific conditions.

Available rule types include:

Tags – Skip the Password step for attendees with selected tags
Group – Skip based on attendee group values
Nested Rule – Create more advanced rule combinations
Form Response – Skip based on attendee form answers
Time – Skip the Password step during specific time conditions

These rules help provide a more flexible onboarding experience for different attendee types.

Using the Password Check In step helps organizers create a secure attendee experience while still allowing flexibility through customizable skip rules and page settings.
