Accessing the Dashboard

  • Password Creation (optional)
  • Waiver (optional)
  • Tech Check (optional)
  • Welcome to your Dashboard!

Dashboard

The Dashboard is your events home base. It is the jumping off point to access Zoom rooms, view speaker bios, sponsors, blog posts, agendas, download Zoom backgrounds, and earn points and react with emojis, if enabled.

Before you begin your Dashboard, think about your brand and create a mock up of what you’d like your Dashboard to look like when it’s final.

Step 1 of Initial Login

There are a few ways to get your attendee's into your event.

Option #1

  • Send your event’s URL to your attendee list
    • Your event’s URL can be found and customized on your main event page where it says “Unique Slug” (example: eventname.obv.io)

  • Each attendee will use your event URL to access their login page.
  • The first time they login they will use their email as both their email AND password
  • Once they enter their email address as the email and password, they will proceed to a “Password creation” page, where they can choose their own password that will be used to access their event in the future. (Note: password must be at least 8 characters)

Option #2

  • Each attendee has a unique login link, if you send each attendee their unique link, they will NOT have to use their email address as their email and password upon intial login. Instead, they will be directed to create a custom password immediately.
  • To obtain each attendee's unique login link go to the "Attendees" tab and click on the attendee's name - their link is labelled "Login URL". See below.

  • To export all of your attendee's unique logins as a CSV file, click "Export" in the upper right corner of the attendee tab.

Example of an attendee's login screen when they are sent their direct link. Please note, colors and buttons are customizable. The attendee will create a password, click submit, and be taken to the next aspect of check in.

To skip the password creation step, navigate to the Check-in > Password tab in Obvio and Disable the option here: See below for a visual.

If the toggle above is blue, the password creation step is enabled.

Step 2 of Initial Login

Waiver

  • The waiver is another optional, but encouraged, step.
  • The waiver is most likely a media release and earnings disclaimer, so you can use parts of the recordings in future marketing campaigns.
  • Waiver is necessary if you’re going to offer the full virtual event recordings as a product.
  • Waivers may also be an earnings disclaimer telling people that they have to do the work in order to be successful in the program you’ve offered/created.
  • SAGE has a sample waiver, but it should be reviewed by your attorney, so be sure it covers all your areas of liability. Request SAGE's sample waiver through help@obv.io

Signing the Waiver

  • Once on the waiver page, attendees will have the ability to review the full waiver
  • They will then click “agree” to the terms and conditions laid out
  • They will then sign inside the signature box with their finger or mouse

Disabling the Waiver

  • The wiaver is an optional Obvio feature. To disable, toggle the “enable” switch in the upper left corner of the waiver tab.
  • Attendees will bypass the waiver step and will be taken directly to the either the tech check or dashboard.

Step 3 of Initial Login

Tech Check

Tech Check is unique to the Obvio platform. It allows event coordinators to complete a Tech Check with attendees prior to the start of the event. The Tech Check will ensure users are using the latest version of Zoom, connect “face to face” with a human before their event.

Why enable Tech Check for your event?

  • Transference of technical issues before your event even begins.
  • Helps your event run smoothly and on time
    • A live Tech Check will help attendees update Zoom, learn how to mute, unmute, raise their hand, etc. Ensuring they know how to do this cuts down on barriers to entry into your event (driving participation) and can cut out those initial 10-15 minutes of confusion at the beginning of the event.
    • Think about this as the equivalent to registration at a live event.
  • Request SAGE's sample Tech Check script through help@obv.io

Doing Tech Check with Live Support

  • One Tech Check agent can check in approx. 15 attendees per hour.

Doing Tech Check with a Prerecorded Video

  • Short walk through of Dashboard.
  • There’s an option to include two buttons on the Tech Check screen - one to bypass the Tech Check and one to watch a prerecorded walk through.
  • You can use text on the screen to encourage attendees to update to the latest version on Zoom, etc.

Disabling Tech Check

  • Tech Check is an optional Obvio feature. To disable, toggle the “enable” switch in the upper left corner of the “Tech Check” area when you’re editing your Dashboard.
  • Attendees will bypass the Tech Check process and are taken directly to the Dashboard.
