Redirect Links Overview

The Redirect Links page allows you to create custom links that redirect attendees to external resources related to your event. This is useful for sharing items such as registration pages, support resources, additional content, or any external links you want attendees to access.

Each redirect uses a short and easy-to-remember link (slash tag) that points to a specific destination URL, making it simple for attendees to access important resources.

I. Creating a Redirect Link

To create a redirect, click Add Redirect and complete the following fields:

  • Description – Provide a name or label for the redirect to help you easily identify it.
  • Destination – Enter the full URL where users will be redirected (e.g., an external page related to your event).
  • Slash Tag – Define the custom path that will be appended to your event URL (e.g., resources, support, or agenda).

Once completed, click Add Redirect to save your link.

II. How Redirect Links Work

Redirect links are generated using your event’s URL combined with the slash tag.

For example, if your event URL is: https://yourevent.obv.io

and your slash tag is: resources

your redirect link will be: https://yourevent.obv.io/r/resources

When a user visits this link, they will automatically be redirected to the destination URL you configured.

III. Managing Redirect Links

From the Redirect Links page, you can:

  • View all created redirects
  • Copy the redirect link for easy sharing
  • Update existing redirects
  • Remove redirects that are no longer needed

Redirect Links provide a simple and effective way to share external resources while keeping your links clean, consistent, and easy for attendees to access throughout your event.
