Subscribing to an Obvio Plan & Managing Event Capacity

Important Update: The Credit System Has Been Retired
 
Obvio has completely eliminated the old credit system. You no longer need to worry about spending credits based on the duration of your event. Instead, Obvio now operates on a model that allows for unlimited events of unlimited duration.
 
Additionally, Obvio no longer counts "registered" attendees toward your capacity limits. Instead, you are only measured by active attendees—meaning anyone who actually accesses the event dashboard at some point during your event.
 
1. Obvio Subscription Plans
There are three main tiers of service available, depending on your event size and organizational needs:
  • Obvio Essentials (Basic):
    • Price: $97/month or $997/year.
    • Capacity: Up to 50 active attendees.
    • Features: 1 active Zoom room at a time, 1 organization, and includes a "powered by Obvio" watermark.
  • Obvio Pro: (Note: If you are a Leap member, you receive the equivalent of the Pro plan).
    • Price: $197/month or $1,997/year.
    • Capacity: Up to 500 active attendees.
    • Features: Up to 5 active Zoom rooms at any given time, up to 3 organizations, 1080p Zoom resolution, and no Obvio branding.
  • Obvio Enterprise:
    • Price: $497/month or $4,997/year.
    • Capacity: Up to 1,000 active attendees per event.
    • Features: Up to 25 active Zoom rooms at any given time, unlimited organizations, and advanced technical features like API access, webhooks, and Zoom ISO compatibility.
How to Subscribe or Change Your Plan:
  1. Log into your Obvio admin account (app.obv.io).
  2. Click on your account/organization name in the top right corner.
  3. Select Billing from the drop-down menu.
  4. Choose the plan you wish to subscribe to or downgrade/upgrade as needed.
 
2. Purchasing Add-ons (Formerly "Credits")
Because the credit system is gone, you now purchase Add-ons (or capacity blocks) if your event exceeds your plan's standard attendee or Zoom room limits.
 
Attendee Capacity Blocks: Attendee add-ons are sold in blocks of 250 additional attendees for the life of that specific event. The cost per block depends on your subscription tier:
  • Essentials Plan: $200 per block of 250 attendees.
  • Pro Plan: $100 per block of 250 attendees.
  • Enterprise Plan: $50 per block of 250 attendees.
Additional Zoom Rooms: If you need more active Zoom rooms open simultaneously than your plan allows, you can purchase an extra room for a 30-day period. The pricing mirrors the attendee blocks: $200 (Essentials), $100 (Pro), or $50 (Enterprise).
How to Purchase Add-ons:
  1. Click on your organization name in the top right corner of the dashboard.
  2. Select Add-ons from the menu.
  3. Select the card you wish to use (or add a new payment method during the checkout prompt) and confirm your purchase.
  4. Note: Add-ons are purchased at the Organization level, but they are automatically applied to whichever specific event needs the extra capacity.
What happens if I go over capacity during a live event? Do not panic! Obvio will never block your attendees from joining your event. If 501 people show up on a 500-person Pro plan, all 501 attendees will seamlessly get in.
 
However, a warning popup will appear in the admin backend, and you will be temporarily locked out of making any edits or changes to your dashboard until you purchase the required Add-on block to cover your overage. To avoid this mid-event friction, it is highly recommended to purchase your Add-ons in advance if you anticipate high attendance
