The tech check agent is responsible for greeting attendees in the Zoom room during check in and going over the basic functions of Zoom attendees, which may use throughout the event.
Basic Zoom functions to cover:
- Mute and unmute
- Start and stop video
- Raising virtual hand
- Using the chat (if enabled)
What is tech check?
Tech check is the final step in the initial check in process. It is also an optional step and may not be necessary for your event.
Tech check is an opportunity for attendees to be welcomed to the event by a live person, have initial technology issues sorted out prior to day one of the event, and ask simple questions. Upon completing tech check, attendees will have access to their event dashboard, where they can familiarize themselves with resources, earn points, and get get excited about subsequent event days.
